Endofeminina under Evaluation

Posted April 6, 2020

It is not necessary to describe what is happening worldwide due to the new Coronavirus pandemic. The impact of decisions spreads throughout a myriad of health, economic, and political segments in all countries, and changes are required, because lives are currently at stake.

In the medical field, in addition to changes in the priorities of all Health Services, Research Institutes, Hospitals, and Scientific Societies, updating events have been reassessed and rescheduled in order to make the best choices.

The Endofeminina Organizing Committee has been conducting online meetings and analyzing all possibilities to make the right decision and communicate it as soon as possible. As explains the president of the event, Dr. Poli Mara Spritzer, the postponement of the event is inevitable, and there is no other decision to make, since it was scheduled for the beginning of June.

With the event schedule already established, including confirmed international participations and national guests, it is necessary to evaluate all points of view, since Endofeminina is an annual event. Two possibilities have been considered: postponement to the second semester or cancellation of the 2020 edition.

One of the concerns of organizers is the fact that a great concentration of scientific activities may occur in the second semester. The calendar of events in the areas of Gynecologic and Reproductive Endocrinology, Endocrinology, Gynecology, and Menopause has been carefully monitored, because some congresses and symposia were transferred to new dates and others were rescheduled to 2021.

Endofeminina organizers ask for a little more patience from those who have already enrolled in the event, so that the decision is communicated with safety.
